Thank you for registering to join the August 2015 Hive Global Leaders Program! We are excited about your commitment to creating a better world, and we’re looking forward to seeing you soon.
Hive will begin with a Welcome Dinner at 7:00PM on Thursday, August 20. The location for our Thursday dinner is the Surfbird Room at Cavallo Point Lodge (601 Murray Cir, Sausalito, CA). Please plan your transportation to ensure that you will arrive before 7:00pm on Thursday evening.
The Hive Registration table will be open from 4pm to 7:30pm on Thursday. We will be hosting a reception at Cavallo Point Lodge on the terrace of Callippe Ballroom (623 Murray Cir) beginning Thursday at 6:00PM. If you booked a hotel room, you can check into your hotel room anytime after 4pm.
Hive will end at 7:00PM on Sunday, August 23, after a Graduation Reception with Hive Alumni.
We’ve designed Hive as a holistic, immersive experience, and your attendance is expected at all sessions. Please let us know as soon as possible (email@example.com) if you will have any issues with attendance.
Because we have designed Hive as an immersive experience, we do not provide a detailed schedule. We find that this way, participants are fully present in each new moment as it unfolds.
Our days will begin and end at the following times:
Thursday, August 20th: 7:00pm – 10:30pm (Registration Opens at 4pm, Reception begins at Cavallo Point at 6pm)
Friday, August 21st: 8:45am – 10:30pm
Saturday, August 22nd: 8:45am – 11:00pm
Sunday, August 23rd: 8:45am – 7:00pm
Breakfast will be served each morning at 8:45am at Cavallo Point’s Callippe Foyer. There will be optional Meditation Class and optional Group Run at 8am on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Cavallo Point Lodge is in Sausalito, just to the right of the Golden Gate Bridge and overlooking the San Francisco city skyline!
All meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) will be provided by Hive. Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten-free options will be available only for those that requested them through the EventBrite registration system.
What to Bring
Cavallo Point Lodge weather is typically warm during the day, but can be chilly in evenings, or if any fog rolls in from San Francisco Bay. Please bring clothing to Hive that will cover the spectrum of 55-80 degree weather (read: don’t forget a warm jacket and sunscreen!) We encourage Hivers to bring comfortable clothing as we will be moving in various ways throughout the day. Don’t forget your tennis shoes, playful spirit and incredible mind!
Transportation by coach bus to and from Hive will be provided daily.
To Hive from San Francisco:
- The shuttle will pick up from 110 Market Street (the corner of Market St & Spear St), near Embarcadero BART at the following times:
- Thurs 8/20: 5:50 PM SHARP
- Fri 8/21: 8 AM SHARP
- Sat 8/22: 8 AM SHARP
- Sun 8/23: 8 AM SHARP
- Each trip will stop at the Fisherman’s Wharf Hyatt and the Fort Mason hostel after leaving 110 Market Street en route to Cavallo Point. Please be ready at these destinations no later than 10 minutes following times listed above.
To San Francisco from Hive:
- The bus will depart from Hive at:
- Thurs 8/20: 10pm
- Fri 8/21: 9:30pm (Early) / 10:00pm (Late)
- Sat 8/22: 10:00pm (Early) / 11:00pm (Late)
- Sun 8/23: 6:30pm (Early) / 7:30pm (Late)
Staying at Cavallo Point Lodge
We are now completely sold out of rooms in our block at Cavallo Point Lodge. We encourage you to explore booking at our partner hotel (Fisherman’s Wharf Hyatt) or our hostel (HI Fisherman’s Wharf) if you still need a place to stay. These options are still available through our Eventbrite Registration Page.
For those staying at Cavallo Point Lodge, check-in begins at 4pm on Thursday 8/20. Check out is 11AM on Sunday 8/23 (make sure to check out before Hive ends!).
During your stay, please do not charge any incidental items to your room’s account at the hotel.
Per the Eventbrite Registration Page, if you purchased a Shared Cavallo Room, you may need to sleep on a deluxe sofa bed. Bed assignments in shared rooms are first-come first-served. Thank you for your consideration!
Staying at Hyatt Fisherman’s Wharf (“Shared San Francisco Room”)
For those staying at Hyatt Fisherman’s Wharf (known as “Shared San Francisco Room” on Eventbrite) check-in begins at 4pm on Thursday 8/20. A Google map of the Hyatt’s location can be found here. Check out is 11AM on Sunday 8/23 (make sure to check out before Hive ends!) You can bring your luggage with you and store it in the conference room (please note that space will be limited).
Staying at Fisherman’s Wharf Hostel Bunk
For those staying at Fisherman’s Wharf Hostel check-in begins at 4pm on Thursday 8/20. Check out is 11AM on Sunday 8/23 (make sure to check out before Hive ends!)
